Chico’s 13- Boisvert Tree Service 12For Chico’s Kat Greenan pitched 5 solid innings, mixing her pitches getting key outs when needed to cool off the hot bats of Boisvert Tree Service keeping the game close all night. Lindsy Poulin relieved Kat in the 6th inning. This was Lindsey’s first time in the circle this year. She struck out the last two batters she faced with her ever moving fastball keeping her team within one run in this final inning.
Amanda Pike was rock solid behind the plate for Chico’s stopping everything thrown her way. Amanda also picked off a Boisvert runner at first showing her arm strength and making the opponent think twice about stealing second all game. Lauren Gray made an outstanding play on a attempted bunt in the last inning. Her hustle took away a sure hit on a Boisvert bunt. It was a game saving play.
Kayla Siegfried won the game with a one out, two strikes bases loaded single to right center field. It was the clutch hit of the evening. Kat Greenan and Meagan each had a hit in the 6th inning to keep the rally going.
Chico’s outlasted Boisvert in the 6th using stingy defense power pitching and timely hitting to pull this exciting game out in the end.
Chico’s 15 – Uptown Auto Repair 6
Haeli Cambell had another great night on the mound for Chico’s. She went the distance giving up four hits while striking out 13 Uptown batters. Haeli mixed her pitches to keep the batters off balance but relied on her fastball to get outs. Alexis Little was Haeli’s battery mate. Alexis was responsible for holding on to Haeli’s plethora of pitches.Lindsy Poulin, Kat Greenan and Lauren Gray were solid in the field for Chico’s. Each made great plays on hard hit balls by the Upton Auto batters.
Ashley Pinault held the hot bat for Chico’s. Ashley was 3 for 4 at the plate driving in three runs and scouring twice. Mandy Waryasz and Alexis Little also had hits for Chico’s.
The game was close between the two teams until Chico’s opened up the offense in the 7th inning plating 8 runs. Chico’s used patience at the plate and great base running to score the runs.
Uptown Auto Repair 16 – Pizza Man of Hooksett 14
On the mound for Uptown, Briannah Rivard started things off with Becky Hardy behind the plate. The battery was fierce and patient, keeping Pizza Man at bay. Pizza Man did battle back and wasn’t far behind bringing some good hits, but Uptown had strong defense, and managed to stay ahead throughout the game. Austen Theroux was hot on shortstop, getting the outs on attempted stolen bases by Pizza Man.Batting was on point for Uptown, with Kayla Boule repeatedly crushed the ball, getting on base and many RBI’s. Becky Hardy hit a double and 3 singles. All Uptown batters came alive in the final innings with solid hits, advancing runners, and keeping Uptown ahead. Marissa Magarian finished on the mound for Uptown allowing Pizza Man nothing in the final inning.
Goffstown Ace Hardware 5 - Crown Trophy 0Crown Trophy’s pitching tandem of Emma Campbell and Johanna Osiecki held Goffstown Ace Hardware scoreless until the fourth and fifth innings when Hardware was able to break through with timely hitting from Libby Sheppard and Rebecca Philibert. Great base running by Jenna Indingaro sparked the Hardware team. In the end, it was the stellar pitching of Jenna Nalette, who went all six innings for her first complete game shutout. Hardware had great catching effort by Rebecca Philibert and was led defensively by Hannah Baldyga, Jenna Indingaro and Lauren Gross.
Pizza Market 12 - Panthers 7
For Pizza Market, Olivia Gagne and Irene Galatas each pitched 1 inning of giving up only 4 runs over two innings. Olivia struck out 1 while Irene struck 2 to retire the side. Kaitlin Leduc closed out the last two innings striking 4 over two innings. Geri-Lynn Nolan played well starting catching while Abigail Pauquette also played well to round out the game. Great hustle from both kept the opposition's base running to a minimum.Emmah Nolan recorded an unassisted 3rd inning out at 2nd base to help her pitcher out defensively. Pitcher Irene Galatas hooked up with catcher Geri-Lynn Nolan for a second inning out when they were able to tag a Panther runner out at the plate. Pitcher Kaitlin Leduc helped her own cause defensively recording an out on a 3rd inning pop-up to the infield.
At star bat for Pizza Market was Abigail Paquette who went 2 for 3 with two singles and 3 RBI's.
Pizza Market 11 – Huntley McKenna Group 10
Pitching and catching for Pizza Market was Olivia Gagne and Irene Galatas, each pitched 1 solid inning while Kaitlin Leduc closed out the game pitching 2 innings and striking out the side in both frames. Abigail Paquette continued to be solid behind plate. Her constant hustling has continued to keep the stealing at bay.At bat for Pizza Market Grace Jolin got her second hit of the season while both Olivia Gagne and Kaitlin Leduc were both able to steal home on pass balls with picture perfect sliding.
Bryan Fournier Landscaping 16 - Panthers 14
The Panthers were lead by a strong pitching display from Carley Gagnon and Sydney Cogswell. The offense was supported by the bats of Emilie Veilleux and Madison Harrington. Strong defensive plays were posted by Samantha Biron, Amalia Plentzas, Cia Galatas and Lizzie. The highlight of the game came when Brielle Gardiner smashed a base clearing home run in the third inning to keep the game competitive going into the final frame.
